How It All Started
My love for psychology began early. In school, it was the one subject that helped me make sense of my own life : my emotions, experiences, and relationships.
Growing up in an Army background meant constant transitions, uncertainty, and learning how people adapt.
Psychology gave me the language and perspective to understand those stressors , not just individually, but as part of a larger whole.
Education That Shaped My Lens
I went on to study Political Science and Psychology during my undergraduate years, and that combination continues to shape my work today. I believe the personal and political are never truly separate. I see how stories of pain, grief, and resilience echo not just in individuals, but across communities, families, and generations.
After completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology from St. Xavier’s, Mumbai, I worked at a mental health start-up in Bangalore. There, I supported adult clients navigating anxiety, grief, relationship concerns, and life transitions. Over time, I found myself gravitating toward modalities like Transactional Analysis and Existential Therapy, their depth and focus on meaning resonated with how I view healing. Alongside these, I draw from DBT and Narrative Therapy to bring in structure, insight, and the power of story.
Heart behind The Nurture Nook
The Nurture Nook is the kind of space I longed for, one that feels warm, relational, culturally rooted, and deeply human.
Outside the therapy room, you’ll probably find me curled up with a book, on the lookout for comfort food and coffee, playing with dogs, or being overly competitive in board games. At my core, I aim to build a corrective relationship with each client, one where you feel seen, heard, and gently challenged.
